FOUNDATIONS

For my first ever blog post, I want to discuss something I think every makeup lover likes: foundation

During the day, I like light coverage. Heavier coverage for special events or night.

First up, my most recent purchase, Maybelline Fit Me gel stick foundation. This foundation really surprised me. I thought (because it was in stick formation), that it would tug and pull on my skin. But it was very smooth and soft. It is relatively easy to blend on the skin. I think it is perfect for light days.
However, this foundation is not full coverage but it is matte. It may wear off some during a normal day. And if you are concerned with pores (like I am), this does nothing for them. It also gathers on dry skin, so I would not recommend it for those dry skin people. (price- $6)

Next on the list, Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation. This foundation is very good. I have oily skin and this stays a very long time. It is matte. This is not the best foundation for pores however. This foundation is easy to blend and I would say full coverage. Has a nice pump and consistency. ($10)

The Garnier Oil Control Bb is very nice. Over summer, this is what I used most. It was light on the face, covered pores very well, and was mattifying. However, I did feel that I did get oily soon but it was quick and easy. The consistency is runny and you should blend quickly. The coverage is pretty good, I would say medium. (price-$12)

Lastly, I will discuss one of my favorites, Revlon Whipped Foundation. This is a full coverage foundation. However, it does not feel very heavy on the skin. It is very soft and easy to apply. It leaves a matte finish that lasts for hours. It covers pores very well. I like wearing this for occasions when I want more coverage/long lasting look. However, the packaging is not the best. It is is a tub that is very heavy, bulky, and not very hygienic.  (price- $12)

Thanks for viewing!
